Please view this post on the main Eternal Lands forums... it's very important to the Fellowship, and to DragonCairn who is nice enough to host this wiki for you. It's so important he donated 500 Feasting Potions to the cause, not much by some standards, but he did what he could, will you?

A Personal Note from DC

How many must diabetes effect? My grandfather on my mothers side wasn't enough. One of my good friends who now plays EL wasn't enough. Two of my co-workers weren't enough. Thank the gods they are still alive.

Our cat, Crookshanks, wasn't as lucky. When we found him, he was definitely emaciated, we could tell that he hadn't been fed in a very long time, and that his skills as a hunter were non-existent... he could barely move. Audhilde is a vet tech and brought him to work with her the next day for two reasons. 1) A wellness exam to determine how bad his health was, and 2) to see if he'd been lucky enough to be micro-chipped. That day we bought our first meter, test strips, and she brought home needles and insulin. He kept going to work with her for glucose curves, and his health slowly improved. Our other cats started to look after him as best as they were able, even our ferrets which love to nibble cat toes were gentle with him. But his diabetes was discovered too late caused by a tumor in his pancreas, and although his health made improvements, we had to put him to sleep to end his pain. This solution to his suffering does not exist for humans, they must simply try and endure this torture. I miss my cat, I don't want to say the same for my family, friends, and co-workers.
