Star guild was formed by players kailomonkey and MacNathan in early 2007 after the guild they were in, Elite Dragon Knights (EDK), changed ownership and hence name and focus. The name was created while messing with TAG names in that older guild and Star just looked right!

It was quite different to their previous guild and mainly the concept and brain child of kailomonkey as not only a guild for remote healers but to share the ideals of healing without prejudice of character, abstaining from any PK, protecting and returning lost goods at all times and I guess generally all community best practices, but with a spiritual level of conviction. The first new member was lady_eizabeth.

Over time Star brokered many alliances based on the bizarre notion that as Star would never PK, they would mark allies by colour not ally command, to allow easier pvp training between friendly guilds. Star took great pleasure in these friendships with IG funtimes and gameplay where almost every guildtag on display ended up in various vibrant colours! Memory fades but GWaR, CEL and PEN were particularly enjoyed friendships.

Enly and moonskimmer were prominent members to join and truly help form the kind of abstract humour that made Star such a pleasure to be in for its time, and most embodying the concept of healing and kindness. Although there were the quieter members who worked just as hard!

After a personal loss in mid 2008 the leader began to play EL less and with other member's changes in lifestyles, the guild's active membership slowly waned without renewal until only MacNathan really remained. He transitioned to GWaR with kailomonkey following later (as still an occasional player only), at which point Star guild was closed. Kailomonkey continues to uphold the same ideals of healing and encouraging a joyful and safe environment within Eternal Lands, having returned to the game regularly again in 2021, but as of yet remains a member of GWaR.
