== A Bit of PL's History (English version) ==

=== The Beginning and Aims ===
PL has existed since 2004 or even 2003 (exact date faded in darkness of the past). This makes it one of the oldest guilds in the game and the first Polish one. Our guild was founded by Dnath (1st GM), Kotz, Grawius and few other people. The former aim was to gather most of the Polish players.
Time flowed, EL became more popular and younger players started appearing in EL - some of them were immature and troublemakers. To prevent the joining of such people, the guild turned more closed and an application system was implemented. The new aim of our community was to create a place where a bunch of people could become a group of friends, where they could live together, laugh together, cry together and even die together.
I'm writing this a few years after those changes and I can truly say that their dreams came true. Moreover, they managed to create a home where lots of younger PL members were brought up and the correct use of our native language is cultivated.
=== The Greatest PL ===
The best time for PL was in 2005-2008, like for whole EL. The guild was very numerous and strong. We had great crafters, potioners, manufacturers and of course alchemists. There was a bard in this troop too, noone could equal Borch in story telling. PL's fighters were invincible. In those days there were many of them, each of them was brave and courageous but two the greatest should be mentioned: Legendary masterpiter and Nitager (aka Clansman). Guild Chat was a constant flow of blue letters and many (sometimes weeks' long) guild actions were taking place with tens of guildies involved. That was the time when dozens of Real Life guild meetings happened as well, with guildies travelling across Poland for hours to drink a few beers with their friends.
=== PL Nowadays ===
Currently, the guild is a shadow of glorious and famous guild it used to be. But PL is still alive and continuously creates its own and EL's history. Maybe we don't have strong PKers, maybe we're not numerous but it's still the same place what predecessors created. Home where any new member who come to the guild gains new friends.

=== Początek i Misja ===
PL istnieje od 2004 bądź nawet 2003 roku (dokładna data zniknęła w mrokach przeszłości). Czyni ją to jedną z najstarszych gildii w grze, a pierwszą polską. Do życia powołał ją Dnath (pierwszy GM) wraz z Kotzem, Grawiusem i kilku innymi graczami. Pierwotnym celem było skupienie w jednym miejscu większości Polaków grających w EL. Czas płynął, popularność gry wzrastała co spowodowało pojawieniem się młodszych osób- część z nich była niedojrzała, pojawiali się też gracze, którzy byli przyczyną problemów. Gildia, chcąc zapobiec przyjęciu takich osób w swoje szeregi, stała się bardziej zamknięta, wprowadzono selektywną rekrutację. Nowym celem wspólnoty stało się stworzenie miejsca gdzie grupa ludzi mogła zmienić się w paczkę przyjaciół, gdzie mogliby żyć razem, śmiać się razem, płakać razem a nawet umrzeć razem.
Piszę to kilka lat po wprowadzeniu tych zmian i z pełnym przekonaniem mogę powiedzieć, że ich marzenia się spełniły.Ponadto, udało się im stworzyć dom, w którym wychowywało się i dorastało wiele młodych PLek, a poprawna polszczyzna jest na porządku dziennym.
=== Najlepsze PL ===
Najlepszym okresem rozwoju i świetności gildii, jak i całego EL, przypadają na lata 2005-2008. PL było duże, silne i liczące się w świecie gry. W szeregach gildii byli świetni potionerzy, przedni wyrobnicy i jubilerzy, o alchemikach nie wspominając. W ekipie był nawet bard, nikt nie potrafi tak snuć opowieści jak Borch ([http://forum.el-pl.org/viewforum.php?f=20 tutaj] można znaleźć kilka jego tekstów, i nie tylko). PLkowi wojownicy byli niezwyciężeni. W owych dniach było ich wielu, każdy waleczny i wspaniały, ale chcę wspomnieć tylko o dwóch: Legendarnym masterpiterze i Ebul Nitagerze (wcześniej Clansmanem zwanym). Gildiowy chat zalewany był niebieskimi literkami, a czas wypełniały przeróżne wspólne akcje (często wielotygodniowe), w których udział brały całe rzesze PLek. Był to też czas, kiedy to miały miejsce liczne spotkania irl. Nieraz się zdarzało, że gildiowicze przemierzali całą Polskę, tkwiąc w pociągu przez kilka(naście) godzin tylko po to, aby wypić kilka piw z przyjaciółmi.

=== PL Dzisiaj ===
Aktualnie, po dawnej chwale i sławie pozostał tylko cień. Ale PL ciągle jest żywe i ciągle tworzy historię swoją i EL. Może nie mamy silnych PKerow, może i nie jesteśmy już tak liczni, ale ciągle jest to to samo miejsce, które stworzyli nasi poprzednicy. Jest to dom, gdzie przestępujący jego próg nowy członek zyskuje przyjaciół.
