Primer
There are times in Draia when the forces of evil try to gain control over the lands. The moon turns red, and monsters invade the various maps. There are two types of invasions: moderator-lead invasions, and automatic invasions. If an invasion occurs, you will usually be noticed by a moderator announcement, or a warning from the GIWS (Global Invasion Warning System). As a rule of thumb, the map Isla Prima is _always_ safe during invasions. In most cases, being indoors (in buildings, not caves) is safe, too, although there have been cases where players were killed while being AFK indoors during an invasion, but there has been no proof of what happened there.
Invasions usually happen in waves, e.g. the first wave of monsters invading map A, the second wave invading B, the third wave C, and so on. Automatic invasions are finished once all monsters have been defeated in a given timespan, if not another wave will spawn elsewhere, to a maximum of three waves. Moderator-led invasions usually take 30-60 minutes, and cover as many maps, monsters and waves as the moderator has planned.
Automatic Invasions
- Valley Of The Dwarves: The "classic" automatic invasion. It starts out in the VoTD gold mines, second cave. The second wave is in VoTD, gold mines (first cave). The third wave is in VoTD and endangers those people sitting at the outdoor storage.
- Morcraven Marsh: It starts out in the Morcraven Cave (TODO: silver or gold?), then again in the Morcraven Cave, and lastly invade the Morcraven Marsh map.
- Desert Pines: Starting out in the Crystal Caverns, finally invading Desert Pines
- Portland: Portland Cave, finally invading Portland
- Nordcarn: Nordcarn Cave (TODO: north or south?), finally invading Nordcarn
- Whitestone: Starting in the Tirnwood underground (hazmat storage area), then a second wave, and finally invading Whitestone.
- The flight of the Dragons: This is a special invasion type, where the Black and the Red Dragon leave their caves. The invasion starts out in North Redmoon (Red) and Maps/Aeth Aelfan (Black), if not defeated they move on to Idaloran (Red) and Irsis (Black), and finally they move on to the Emerald Valley Trade Route underground (Red) and the Willowvine Forest caves (Black).
Moderator-led Invasions
The maps where the invasion takes place are announced via moderator broadcast messages. Where it takes place, and which monsters and how many participate are completely up to the moderator team running the invasion. It usually starts out rather low-level, then rises up, sometimes even up to Giants (and, if Roja or Entropy participate, even Dragons).
