Mule
Shape shifting
Mules are the pack-animals of Eternal Lands. They have a increased carry load which depends on their original carry load and the time they've spent in the shape of a mule. We will go into details below.
How to become and to stay a mule and how to become normal again
- To become a mule you have to use a Mule Glyph.
- To stay a mule you have to "eat" Creature food every 30 seconds.
- For this you have to keep the creature food in your inventory, it will be consumed automatically.
- If you have no creature food in your inventory when it's due, you will turn back into your normal shape, requiring another mule glyph to turn back into a mule again.
- To become normal again, simply remove all remaining creature food from your inventory and wait or click yourself with the pointy "use" finger. If you are overloaded, i.e. you have items of more total EMU in your inventory than your original carry capacity allows for, you will have to put them away (drop, trade, into storage, use) before you can move again when changing back to your normal shape.
Benefits of a mule and leveling
Your carry capacity is increased by 10 % each "level", starting at level 0 with 10 % increase and going up to 130 % of your original carry capacity at level 12, the currently highest level. You can tell your level by looking at yourself (the eye pointer), don't be confused by the typo.
It takes 800 creature food for one level (confirmation needed), you can also tell your and other player's level by the color of their hide:
- 0-3 gray
- 4-7 brown
- 8-12 black
What a mule can and can't do
- Can interact with objects:
- Can fight (can be attacked on PK maps by other players!)
- Can't use Magic.
- Can't harvest.
- Cannot wear clothes, armor or equip items in general, in fact you can't change into a mule if you currently have items equipped.
- Can't trade with other players using the trade window.
- Cannot sit down (if you were sitting when changing into a mule, you might have to disable sit-lock in the options window before you can walk)
